The Irewa Team of Aslans

Irewa is the kennel name of my parents, Irene & Wal McCrindle.  Their show team consisted of all Aslan bred Whippets.  Mum and dogs are now retired from the show ring.

Cara was a RESERVE IN SHOW winner under breed specialist Mr Geoff Love.
Her beautiful shape, effortless, free-flowing movement and correct size saw her win many a Best in Group under judges who have an eye for a whippet.
She had two litters - the first to Gilnockie Ace of Spades (Imp UK) - a troublesome delivery and negligent vet resulted in one surviving puppy - Ch Irewa Tuxedo Lad - himself a BIG winner.  She delivered her second litter in Nov 09  - which we like to call our co-bred venture - a gorgeous brood of 4 sired by Sup Ch Peperone New Sensation.

Autumn was the apple of my parents' eyes, a scallywag of a dog, always running around the property and finding something to do.
She earned her Championship title easily and was a multi Best & Reserve in Group winner.
Autumn has passed to the Rainbow Bridge.

Gus made his presence felt in the rings right from the start, taking a number of Baby Sweepstakes 1sts, Baby in Groups and a BABY IN SHOW.
At his first show out of baby he was CC BOB and RESERVE IN GROUP.
On New Year's Day 2011 he overtook the 100 pt mark and gained his Championship title not long after.
In the photo he was 10 mths of age.

Fleur took a while to get the hang of the showing business, but she eventually settled and  took four MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW awards in a row mid 2010 and also a number of CC's.
Early in 2011 she was awarded a Best in Group by Mrs Toni Comerford (Breed Specialist) and in the very next show gained the final points for her Championship title.

Both Fleur and Gus received extremely favourable comments from the judges who awarded them.  Both now are in their twilight years and enjoy the couch and my mum's bed very much!
Many thanks to Ellen Mooney for allowing us to use the wonderful Cooper at stud to produce this litter.
